Orion heads to Michigan
Orion has accepted the offer of a fellowship at the University of Michigan to study theoretical particle physics. All of Ann Arbor awaits his Triumph. Note the haze of excited electrons around him in this old photograph.
What a guy! Even then the electrons knew they had themselves a champion. Although electrons are by nature an excitable lot, I think? I don't know, we'll have to ask Orion whether that is fact or theory.....
Congratulations, Orion. Great school, and a lucky one to get such a star.

ReplyDeleteYay for Orion! Yay for the U of M! Fellowship means they pay, right? :-) How did you make that light aura around Orion in that adorable baby picture?

ReplyDeleteI remember this little boy--I cannot believe he is old enough for grad school. But he was always so ready for it.
